Longford, Leitrim, Offaly & Roscommon
Separated by the Upper Shannon, these scenic counties offer a huge choice of
large and small stillwaters, and some rivers – including the Shannon itself. The
area offers excellent bream, roach, tench, rudd, hybrids and pike fishing with most
waters having good access.
There are many ‘undiscovered’ lakes, ideal for those who like to explore. With a
bit of research and careful preparation, you could reap the reward with some fine
tench fishing. An excellent region for those who like to try lots of different waters,
with the big water fishing of the Mid Shannon and Erne just a short drive away.
